About Xena

Xena has been a family pet since she was 6 weeks old when she was rescued from a private residence that was overbreeding. She has grown up with another dog, cat and 2 very active young boys. She is VERY fearful of strangers and will bark/growl with her tail between her legs. This of course may come off as aggressive just because of her breed. She can 'sit', 'shake', 'lay down', 'stay', 'come', 'up', and use the doorbell for potty. She is housebroken and used to being kenneled, although I've left her out while at work for over 3 months and she's been an Angel. She loves to play fetch and keep away, and chase the bunnies and squirrels when they happen to come in the yard lol. She does ok on walks and is getting increasingly better but I blame myself for not getting her out more often. She is my cuddle bug and a huge couch potato, even grunting in annoyance when you have to get up or move her. I would really like for her to go to a home with young kids that will treat her nicely and adults that really have an idea of the breed and won't immediately give up on her because of her fearfulness. She is SO sweet and extremely smart and will be deeply missed in our home.
