About Charlie

Introducing Charlie! Charlie is a 9 month old, 6.1 pound adorable black and tan Chihuahua puppy! He was surrendered to us along with his brother and sister when his owner was not able to take care of them. Charlie is playful with everyone, and he's full of puppy energy! He loves to play, and play, and play, with another dog and with toys! This picture does not do him justice, he is a sassy cute little guy, but getting him to pause for a minute for a photo was a chore for his poor foster mom! Charlie would love an equally playful dog buddy to run around with, and that is what we are looking for in his new home. He is a friendly dog and will probably be cuddly when he's settled into his new home, after play time is done of course! He sleeps in the big bed at night but will also sleep in a dog bed if needed. Charlie's housebreaking is a work in progress, he's still a hiker, and needs some more training in that area. He does know how to use a doggie door and enjoys being outside, running around in the fresh air and sunshine with the other dogs in his foster home. He should go to home with a fenced yard. Based on his small size he should not go to a home with young children or much bigger dogs. He has not been tested with cats. Charlie has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. His neuter will be scheduled with our vet and covered by the rescue. Charlie is only adoptable within an hour drive to Pensacola.
