LOCATION: Iowa City, Iowa DOB: 03/09/2021 Sugar, Sugar! Honey, Honey! Sweet Baby Sugar is as 'sweet' as her name and even has the sweetest smile. She is an attention hound who loves soaking up all the love. Being with her people is a top priority and she will be happy to lay on top of you and melt into you as much as you will allow her to. She's also smart as a whip. She knows to sit, release to eat, kennel, and will come when she is called, and does not run off. She would love a new home with a great big yard to run, run, run! True to the Catahoula breed-this girl has some energy. Miss Sugar has grown up with dogs, cats and even chinchillas. Snuggling up with another dog for naptime where she can rest her head on their head or on their back is a 'sweet' sight to see. She is not in love with puppies but loves baby kittens. And her fellow dog friends need to be of the non-reactive type. She can have some food aggression around other dogs. Being around kids is no problem but she can sometimes be a little overzealous and knock them down so a home with children over 12 years old would be ideal. Leash training is ongoing-not bad but could use some refining. But she loves going on walks! And she is housetrained. Unsupervised she can be a little puppyish and get into things around the house that are a no-no. Baby Girl Sugar is looking for a sweet new family to call her own!
