About Foxy

Hello! My family needs to find a new home for our beloved cat! With my sister Serena, the last of us four siblings, graduating May 28th, my entire family will be embarking on a new stage of adventure abroad. As my parents prepare to leave behind our Redding home and travel overseas, the time has come for us to part with our precious cat Foxy. We're looking for someone who would be happy to love her as much as we have, which will be no easy feat! If you've had pets before you probably know how reluctant we are to say goodbye, and how determined we are to find a new owner with whom she'll have a wonderful life (wonderful enough for her to not miss us too much!). Foxy will be needing a new home by late June. She has been spayed, and is up to date on her vaccinations. Foxy is a medium-haired gray female, 7 years old. She started out very shy, but over the years she has grown more comfortable around my family and has turned into a real sweetheart. She's always had a special attachment to my sister Serena--she'll jump up and meow to greet Serena whenever she comes in. Foxy also has a powerful attraction to boxes! Any box you put on the floor, she will find a way to fit herself into. This past year Foxy had a kidney stone removed, and the vet recommends a relatively peaceful and stress-free environment for her. As we have always lived in the countryside, well away from the city, we've always let Foxy enjoy roaming outside on our 4 acres of property during the mid-part of the day, but at night we make sure to always bring her in for safety (from coyotes, etc), as we have lost many cats by leaving them outside overnight. Since Foxy is used to having property to roam around on and has never lived in a residential neighborhood, she is not car-smart or city-smart at all. That being said, she's never been a huge wanderer and is usually content to hang out inside or close to the house. We would appreciate it if you, or anyone you know, would like to adopt Foxy.
