About Amber

Hello! My family needs to find a new home for our beloved cat! With my sister Serena, the last of us four siblings, graduating May 28th, my entire family will be embarking on a new stage of adventure abroad. As my parents prepare to leave behind our Redding home and travel overseas, the time has come for us to part with our precious cat Amber. We're looking for someone who would be happy to love her as much as we have, which will be no easy feat! If you've had pets before you probably know how reluctant we are to say goodbye, and how determined we are to find a new owner with whom she'll have a wonderful life (wonderful enough for her to not miss us too much!). Amber will be needing a new home by late June. She has been spayed, and is up to date on her vaccinations. Amber is a medium-haired calico female. She was never officially designated as mine, but the whole family knows she is. ;) She's 12 years old and we've had her since she was 8 weeks, which means she's been scampering along after me for more than half my life. By far the smartest of the three, I guarantee you've never had a cat look at you with such intelligent eyes. Sooner or later everyone who meets her comments on how it seems like she's staring straight into your soul. She has a very human-like personality. She is very sweet but will let you know when she's had too much attention. She's very attached to me so every time I leave on a trip she gets a bit lonely, though I'm sure with time she'll transition just fine. As we have always lived in the countryside, well away from the city, we've always let Amber enjoy roaming outside on our 4 acres of property during the mid-part of the day, but at night we make sure to always bring her in for safety (from coyotes, etc), as we have lost many cats by leaving them outside overnight. Since Amber is used to having property to roam around on and has never lived in a residential neighborhood, she is not car-smart or city-smart at all. We would appreciate it if you, or anyone you know, would like to adopt Amber. If so, please message me! As we love her so much, we are going to be selective, but our family certainly knows that whoever adopts her will be very blessed! Thank you ahead of time.
