About Lucy

Lab mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Hi, my name is Lucy! I'm an affectionate 4-year old, 40-pound super mutt who lives near Acton, MA. If you're a unique person, then we have something in common. I had my DNA tested to see why I am so wonderful and beautiful (and a bit boastful) and was shocked to learn I'm a mix of Husky, Pug, and American Staffordshire Terrier! I prefer to be regarded as my own paw-son. About me...I like to keep busy with my hobbies, which include walking, hiking, playing with toys, chasing squirrels, and curling up tight in a cozy spot. Though I love the outdoors, I can't resist any opportunity to snuggle against my people. I'd love someone to exercise with, but also someone who is a quiet homebody like moi. I'm a good girl who will give you special Lucy kisses. My friends at ARK say I'll benefit from training and socialization. Luckily I'm super treat-motivated! I spent much of my formative years being left tied outside alone, and that made me an anxious girl in need of self-assurance. Security and companionship are very important to me. When people visit us, please tell them I have stranger danger and in time will go to them for friendship, just not right away. I am also afraid of loud noises and vehicles:( I need a new home because after being adopted last year, my current family realized that a different environment is best for me. You see, they have a lot of comings and goings that are overwhelming and unable to help me overcome my jitters. I think I'll be a braver girl with the help of an experienced human who is patient, low-key, and understanding, I can be your one and only, or if you're a cat person looking to round out your family with a real pet, I get along very well with the feline sort. No other dogs and no children please! I'll be patiently waiting for your application: https://tiny.cc/Petfinder-Bios #ARKforLucy #JustSaveThem Love, Lucy xo
