About Amaryllis

'Hiya! My name is Amaryllis and I'm looking for a loving family to call my own. I was just hoping that you might be the home for me? I am a 1 and 1/2 year old Pittie gal that came to SVASC when my owner couldn't care for me anymore. When I first arrived at SVASC, I was terrified. It took a few minutes, but I did warm right up to the staff and ever since warming up, I have been the friendliest pup that there ever was. I love meeting new people and getting to know them. In my previous home, I was primarily kept outside and spent most of my time living on a chain, so I guess I'm just really soaking in the freedom that comes with being able to play, romp, and run. I am a pretty energetic dog and have lots of pent up energy, so I would be a great candidate for an outdoors-y, athletic family. I love to run and would totally be down for those morning jogs that everyone else dreads. Because I have not spent much time indoors or with a family, I will need some time to adjust, but like most Pitties, I am very smart and eager to please, so I should get my manners down pat pretty quickly. In the past, I have lived around other dogs and have nursed a few litters of puppies. Even so, I can be a little picky about my dog friends and would like to meet any possible companions before going home. I did previously live with kids, so I should do okay with older kiddos.
