I can assure you that ASHER (ID #A1968281) is quite a catch and I am aghast that she is still at the East Valley Animal Shelter, Van Nuys, CA, since March 5. ASHER was surrendered, and it took her a few days to get acclimated to the environment, displaying, at first, fear, then shyness and submissiveness, but now she is full of vim and vigor, and affection. ASHER is a petite 2-year-old who weighs 57 pounds. The reason given by her family for surrendering her is: 'this dog and another dog were playing ball. Owner states the other dog gets territorial over the ball. He stated that the 2 dogs got into a fight. The owner broke up the fight and was bit on the right arm and right hand with 4 minor punctures.' I can't speak to ASHER getting territorial over a ball, but I witnessed her enjoyment for playing fetch with one. She can catch a ball mid-air, and she returns it and drops it at your feet. She also enjoys treats, and she sits for them and takes them gently. I reiterate that ASHER enjoys playing catch, and she is a catch! Call the shelter and make an appointment to fetch her and make her part of your family. The number is (888) 452-7381, press 4 to be connected to the East Valley shelter.
