My name is Mal, AKA Malcom, I am 4 years old and according to my DNA test, I am a GSD, Siberian Husky, black and tan Coonhound, mix. I've been told that I am a very unique mix and a handsome gentleman, I can't disagree with that! Don't let my size intimidate you, I am a gentle giant at 100 lbs. I was adopted as a puppy and loved my family very much and they loved me back. I turned out bigger than expected and that can be intimidating to some people. Unfortunately, because of my size, I might be too much for small kids, I might make them fall or play too rough with them and that is why I am looking for a new home. If you meet me, you will see that not only am I stunning but I also have a gentle heart and a kind soul. I absolutely love people and every person I meet is my new best friend. I like to be next to my humans when they are home either sitting by their feet or hanging out in the same room. I want to join you on all of your adventures like going for walks around the neighborhood or hikes in new places or even a trip to the beach. I'm also happy to just chill out and catch up on some tv shows. I love chasing squirrels and lizards in the yard and even admire watching the horses my foster mommy has. My ideal home would be one where I can be an only dog and with a family that will love my silliness. Most importantly I'm looking for a family where I will be the center of your world as my humans are my whole world. I don't know what I did wrong to lose my last family, I've been told they love me but their family changed and it wasn't the right fit for me anymore. I went to professional training at Revolution dog training in Tampa. I'm a smart boy, I know the commands sit, paw, down, stay and place. 'Place' sends me to bed. My release word from place or stay is 'okay'. I am fully house broken and will not eat shoes, furniture, or anything you leave. I only chew on my own toys and bones. I can be trusted without a crate but I am crate trained as well. I do get a little scared in thunderstorms but I just go to my crate or to my humans and lay down. I travel really well; I've been on many road trips and they are great fun. I am neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Really, I'm the whole package, I've got the looks the brains and the heart! I hope someone will open up their heart and their home to me for the rest of my life.
