About Sushi

Bengal
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

Riverside, CA Sushi is a gorgeous, 8-years-young purebred Bengal Cat. She has the most beautiful golden glitter coat! ***If you are interested in adopting Sushi, please fill out the Inquiry on our website - we cannot answer hundreds of individual questions via the RescueMe platform*** https://bengalrescue.org/adopt/adoption-interest/ This girl is SASSY, charming, and can also be very sweet. She loves to sleep in her Mom's bed, and she has lots of lovely perches that give her a great view through the sunny windows in her home. Her home is lovely, 1,500 square feet with wonderful views. Sushi has been experiencing some litter box avoidance issues. She is negative for UTI's, crystals and stones. Her Vet diagnosed her with Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disorder (FLUTD). She has been prescribed Amitriptyline and her owner reports that she is seeing improvement, with the use of this medication (she medicates her by taking a tablet, crushing it, and putting it in her food). To learn more about this VERY resolvable issue (FLUTD), please read our article: https://bengalrescue.org/resources/litter-box-issues/ Her owner is heartbroken to have to rehome her but she does not have a choice on this, as she is at risk of being evicted. Like most Bengals, Sushi can be very affectionate - on her own terms. Sushi does not like to be picked up, and she can be easily startled. Sushi is definitely attracted to Male humans, although she definitely loves her Mom. Sushi currently lives with two cat-friendly dogs, a Senior Pomeranian and a French Bulldog. She gets along with them well. Sushi has never been around cats so we think it's probably best to continue that trend (no other cats). If given the right shelving, she would love to climb up high. One of her favorite places to visit is on top of the kitchen cabinets. At the age of eight (Bengals can live to be 20!), she has plenty of energy but is not overly demanding in terms of play-time. She loves her water fountain. Sushi does not like collars, so if you are looking for a cat to walk on a leash / harness, Sushi is not the Bengal for you. Sushi has also always been an indoor cat, and we do not adopt cats out to homes that allow cats access to the outdoors. Sushi has been fully Vetted, her entire life. She is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. If you are interested in adopting Sushi, please fill out our inquiry form: https://bengalrescue.org/adopt/adoption-interest/ We receive hundreds of inquiries through the RescueMe platform, so we ask that you please fill out the inquiry on our website. We are an all-volunteer organization and do not have paid staff to handle the flood of individual questions. Thanks for your understanding.
