About Zeus in Moore

**Courtesy Post** Zeus is a great dog!!! His owner passed away on 3/17 and I'm unable to take proper care of him. He's a 10 year old purebred Jack Russell who's only ever had 1 (male) owner. Zeus got left alone for several days while his owner was in the hospital before he passed, and when I got him on 3/20, he seemed happy to be among people in his new home. He seemed like he wasn't feeling well so I took him to the vet and he had surgery to remove over 100 kidney stones. He's now recovering from surgery and a bladder infection. Despite the immense amount of pain he must have been in prior to the surgery, he was thrilled to play and have human companionship. Even now, nothing has slowed him down - his favorite game is fetch, although we're limiting it while he heals. Super intelligent and charming, Zeus would make an excellent companion to somebody with an active/outdoor lifestyle. His owner's dying request was that his dog get a good home. Zeus deserves it. Zeus is used to having full run of the house and backyard with his doggie door. He's a little overweight because his owner primarily fed him people food (beef/steak is his special favorite) and wet food. In the past, he's had trouble with dogs bigger than him but never bitten or been aggressive towards a human. I do not believe Zeus has ever been around children of any age, so no kids. He does extremely well with men. But, no cats. We want him to have a home with a fenced yard and an owner who is willing to spend time with him and play with him! He loves being the center of attention! A home visit and a good vet reference are mandatory to adopt him. The adopter must be able to drive to the Moore, Oklahoma area to get him.
