Cooper is a sweet 9-year-old Chorkie (chihuahua/yorkie mix). He weighs 11.8 pounds. Cooper needs to be the only dog in his home. He is being fostered in Orlando, FL. Due to Covid-19, dogs being fostered in Florida must be adopted within the state of Florida. UPDATED BIO 04/11/2021: Cooper is a very smart and sweet boy. In his first UYR foster home, he let his foster mom know that he really wants to be the only dog in his home. Once he felt comfortable in the home, he let the resident dog know that he wasnt happy to be sharing his foster moms attention, so he was moved to a home where he is the only animal in the home. Although he has played with other dogs, he wants to have his person to himself. He likes all the attention and doesnt want to share his person with anyone else. Cooper is up-to-date on his vaccinations and has had a dental. He had a mass on his left rear foot when he came into UYR and it was surgically removed and sent off to be tested and came back benign hooray. He is taking a glucosamine supplement for joint support which most dogs need after the age of 5-6 years old, and will need this supplement for the rest of his life. Cooper is a snuggler and loves to shower his person with kisses. He will snuggle into your side and roll over for belly rubs sweet! He is also a very smart little boy who is completely house-trained bonus! He will let his foster mom know he needs to go out by acting antsy and getting your attention by pawing at you. He is also leash-trained, and will walk all over town with his person. He has a wobbly little interesting gait since he takes short steps with his front legs. So cute. He is such a good boy who enjoys being with his people. Cooper is ready to go to his forever home and show his adoptive parents a whole lotta love. PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING BEFORE APPLYING FOR COOPER: - Cooper has let his foster mom know that he prefers to be the only dog in the home - Priority will be given to potential adopters with a fenced-in yard since Cooper is a runner
