About Yoda

I am pleased to introduce to you the very handsome and good boy Yoda. Yoda joined my crew in January. He was an owner surrender but was not a part of the large Persian group. I do not have much information about Yoda's past but if I had to guess he had not been around small children or other cats before. It took him a little bit of time to warm up to the other cats but he still hasn't particularly fond of small children. Yoda is a gorgeous Chinchilla Persian with big green eyes and the cutest little apple head. He loves to be the center of attention once he has warmed up to people. Yoda was a challenge initially because he was very anxious and scared of his new surroundings. However, over these last few months he has really opened up and became one of the biggest sweethearts. He doesn't like to be picked up or held and he isn't afraid to let his feelings be known but what he does love is for someone to sit down next to him and scratch behind his ears and under his chin. If you do that you will be his best friend. Yoda would do best in an adult only home or a home with older calm children. I do not think that he would do well with dogs, but he does get along with other cats. Yoda does not have any medical issues that I am aware of but he is still learning how to overcome some behavioral issues. He reacts really well to praise and redirection of his behavior. It has been several weeks since I have had any issues at all but I want to make his potential adopters aware that he may require some patience just to get him to be the amazing cat that I know and see every day. I would love to see Yoda go to a home that will give him the love, dedication and attention he deserves. Yoda is currently being fostered through Rescue Cats of Florida and will be available for a meet an greet this Saturday at the PetSmart in Valrico.
