About Phoebe / Little Mama

We met a guy (Marlon) online who was rehoming his puppy. We met up with him & his puppy on Sunday 3/28 with our 2.5 year old dog. They seemed to get along outside so we agreed to a 24 hr trial period, which didn't go well once we got home. He agreed to meet us Monday 3/29 afternoon to take his puppy back and we showed up & he ghosted us. Not returning any texts or answering his phone (mail box is full). He said he'd had the puppy about 6 months & hadn't taken her to the vet that entire time. He had named her Little Mama; we think Phoebe is more fitting but she doesn't respond to either. The puppy is not housebroken (I'm working on it) and doesn't know any commands. Seems fine with the prior owner, myself & my husband. Fine with our dog (2.5 years, 50 lbs). No idea about kids or cats. Wants to be held constantly. Would do great with someone who can carry the dog around everywhere, She loves to snuggle but also likes to play (might be teething?). We've had the puppy 3 days and my dog is continuing to pant, pace & not settle down. We are trying to help the puppy find her own forever home.
