I picked up a catahoula/ American bulldog mix from a farm situation back in October of 2020. She was severely obese. She never left the barn and would just eat all day. She was covered in fleas, a rash and had arthritis from her weight. I have brought her into my home, fully vetted her and she has lost 20lbs with about 15 more to go. Unfortunately, it is not ideal for her to stay with us longterm. I have had start working more hours and she is back to being a couch potato all day. She is exactly 7 years old this month, and house trained with scheduled outings. She's great with kids and good with dogs, as long as they are not jumping all over her. She has beautiful markings. She needs minimal exercise, but we take her on a short walk once a day. She just wants to be loved on. She's a big girl, weighing in at about 100lbs. The vet says 85-90lbs is her ideal weight. She does have arthritis that is getting better with the weight loss.
