About Bubba

Sold my land & want to find another good home for this beautiful good boy Bubba. I got him about 7 years ago to help me take care of my dad (Alzheimer's) & he has been with me all day every day ever since. He has had a 4 acre yard he's had free access to his whole life so I'd like to find a similar stable home for him where he has a big yard & people around a lot. He can be very dominant towards some unknown male dogs but generally very nice to females. He is a little hesitant to meet new people, but warms up quick. He is 1/2 English & 1/2 South African mastiff. If you look up a Boerboel breeders site about Boerboel temperament he usually fits the description pretty well. He has lived with one aggressive cat before so may or may not due well with a cat. He has never lived with kids before so would need to get used to them but would probably be an amazing family dog as he is super affectionate, loving & attentive. Just have to be careful of the protectiveness towards new people & dominance towards other male dogs. Not a good dog park dog! There is no behavioral reason I am looking for a new place for him. He is my favorite dog I've ever been around but I am at a point in life where I had to sell the house & want to travel while I am healthy enough to do so. I just want to make sure he goes to very loving people who have some experience with a large dominant breed dog so there's a smooth transition for him. He has been an A+ therapy dog for me & wont let him go without some screening as I want to make sure he finds a good spot to live out his golden years.
