About Pete

Adoption Fee: 500
Great Dane
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

This is a hard decision to make, one that has taken our family way too long to make. Pete and his sister, Frank, from a different litter, have been with us since they were babies. Our initial choice to rehome Pete is based on his aggression toward other animals. He and Frank get on fine and I would really like them to go together but to the right person I think she would be fine on her own. They are completely house broken and crate trained. She is good with cats, kids and small dogs, he is not. Both walk well on a leash and are trained with hand gestures. Most of the time she sticks with Pete in the yard but when he comes in first at night we call her with a spot light. I would really love them to go together, but I understand that most people aren't capable of caring for one, let alone two, great Danes. They eat a lot and require some special care. I just want them to be loved and taken care of as we are no longer able to do for them. Keeping him separated isn't fair to him or anyone else and it's getting increasingly hard to do. When I am at work, her caretaker is no longer able to safely care for them and for obvious reasons, day care just wont work. If you only want Pete he MUST be the only animal in the house. If you want both I would love nothing more and would make a double adoption deal. Crates will come with them if you wish.
