About Chainsaw

Chainsaw was found at exactly 4 lbs, with all the worms, a URI, ear infections in both ears, and severely malnourished. He was found begging for food scraps after Tropical Storm Isaiha and was wearing a tattered collar. Months of searching for an owner proved fruitless. He is now worm-free, in great health, and a healthy 11 lbs! He's FLV/FLI negative. He is very active and loves string toys and crinkly balls to kick around to amuse himself. He's great with other cats of all ages (4 live here) and is super curious about dogs in the house. He is initially terrified of new people or new environments (outside, garage, closet, car ride, etc). It takes him a few hours to calm his fear, so don't be alarmed if he hides for the first couple of days. Once he gets past his fear, you'll find he is a super lovey and playful kitten. He enjoys head rubs, belly rubs, and especially loves chasing a shoelace. It's his favorite toy in the world and he'll carry it around so you'll grab it and play with him. He's a great cat! He needs a home where he can receive a fair amount of play time a couple times a day, windows to watch out, and cat trees. He adores climbing his trees (there's about 10 trees or tall scratchers in the house that he's accustomed to jumping on). He is too scared of outside to run away, so you don't have to worry about stepping on a cat or him running out when you leave the house. Also, he NEVER lays on the laptop!! It's pretty amazing. He's such a great cat, but I can't have so many cats. He needs a home by May 1st or I have to bring him to the animal shelter.
