TO BE EUTHANIZED 3/30/2021 in NYC *** FOSTER or ADOPTER needed BY NOON that day to SAVE CHI CHI'S life! A $500 stipend will be offered to the New Hope partner that pulls CHI CHI. 8 Year old senior lady CHI CHI is a cutie pie who previously lived with another dog. A friendly, sweet senior CHI CHI enjoys playing with rubber and chew toys. She gives kisses and knows a few commands. She is obedient and loyal, perfectly house-trained, and calm and cuddly. She understands her commands very well, and responds well on the leash. She's no longer a fan of her peers and would love to be the queen of your castle. Seniors do not belong in shelters. She deserves to find a home with an affectionate family who will give her TLC. A volunteer writes: This sweetest of faces belongs to 8 year old Chi Chi. An owner surrender due to housing restrictions, Chi Chi seems accustomed to a home and uncertain about how she ended up in the shelter. She is gentle in spite of her nervousness, walking nicely with us and giving us her cutest faces for the camera. The next day Rachel finds that the way to Chi Chi's heart is through her stomach, and her delicacy of choice is chicken! She wags softly eating up her special treats, and seeing her loosen up slowly but surely is a heartwarming sight! Chi Chi's previous family tells us she lived with a large, male, 8 year old dog who she was friendly with, and that she barks at unfamiliar dogs. They report her to have medium energy and to be house trained. She knows how to lay, stay, and give kisses! She doesn't have experience with kids, and due to her current stress levels should go to an adult home or one with older kids. Another volunteer writes: Pretty Chi Chi came to us when her family could no longer care for her. They describe Chi Chi as playful and independent, housetrained, and happy to play with chew toys or just nap on her bed, which they kept in the bathroom. Chi Chi knows commands for 'lay down', 'stay' and 'give kisses' (kisses on command? how adorable is that!) but she has been quite shy and unsettled since her recent change in circumstances to the noisy shelter environment, which is understandable. Chi Chi is an older gal who would do best in a calm, nurturing home where she can feel safe to open up at her own pace. She is unsure around other dogs so would love to be your one-and-only special pet. Come and meet Chi Chi and enjoy her sweet doggie kisses for life! Chi Chi's Foster writes: Chi Chi is the sweetest homebound dog we've ever fostered. She is obedient and loyal, perfectly house-trained, and calm and cuddly. She understands her commands very well, and responds well on the least. Chichi exhibits mild reactivity to other dogs on the leash, but is very passive and gentle around people. Her superpower is napping in the sun. A staff member writes: Chi Chi was surrendered due to landlord conflict and a restrictive pet policy in their new living arrangement. [...] Chi Chi has been nervous so far in our care, but did well meeting another male dog in playgroup. She reportedly liked to give her owner kisses. ************************************** %8D To SAVE a Life, to FOSTER or ADOPT, please, message Dogs Lives Matter - Saving NYC Dogs or email [email protected] ASAP %8D ************************************** MY MOVIES: Chi Chi 109310 | I love chicken! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KAWF7Mrr-wA Chi Chi 109310 | Fur Real Friend https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y_37Hrvw8wg Chi Chi 109310 | I Enjoy Romantic Walks to the Treat Bin! || https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_yzYhTY5KA Chi Chi 109310 | Wow, You Can Really Dance! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ThfJk5p48uo ************************************** %8D To SAVE a Life, to FOSTER or ADOPT, please, message Dogs Lives Matter - Saving NYC Dogs or email [email protected] ASAP %8D ************************************** POSTER correction: Needs to be solo pet INTAKE DATE 2-Jan-2021 CHI CHI, ID# 109310, 8 yrs old, 62.8 lbs, Spayed Female, Brooklyn ACC, Large Mixed Breed, Black / White, Owner Surrender Reason: surrendered due to landlord conflict and a restrictive pet policy in their new living arrangement Returned by foster in Feb 2021 Foster Surrender Reason: bite incident with another dog Shelter Assessment Rating: New Hope Only No children (under 13) Single-pet home Recommend no dog parks Place with a New Hope Partner OWNER SURRENDER NOTES - BASIC INFORMATION: Chi Chi is an 8 yr old spayed female dog.
