About Bernie

Bernie is a cute as a button 6 year old / 11 lb shih tzu (mix) boy looking for his forever home. He came to us badly matted and barely recognizable ( see intake picture) but after we groomed him we saw how cute he really was!!!! Bernie is a nervous little guy who would do well in a quiet home where he can learn to trust and love again ...NO KIDS...so a patient adopter/family will be preferred. He has a shrunken eye probably from an unattended injury so he can only see from one eye. Bernie can be very sweet and loving once he trusts you and knows you wont hurt him. He gets along great with other dogs- in fact we think his having a buddy would be good for him so he can see that it's ok to trust, and to play, and to just act silly.
