https://www.facebook.com/AngelsRetreatRescue Echo is approximately 11 months old and has lived most of her life in a shelter. Her owner took the puppy to be put down at 6 months old because there was something wrong with her. A visit to the neurologist and an MRI revealed that Echo has a birth defect and is missing part of her brain. She is perpetually happy and just loves to run, bounce, and play. We are specifically looking for a parent who is willing to take on a special need's baby. Echo is sweet and gentle but doesn't understand a lot. She would do best in a home with another young dog to play with and loves children. A fenced yard will be required because she loves to run and doesn't know to come back when she's called. Natural tree lines and electric fences are not sufficient. We also need for her to have a parent who is home more often than not. Echo has spent more than enough time confined and really needs a nurturing, well-supervised environment. She does not know how to climb stairs and has impaired vision. Because of her brain deformity, training her will be difficult but she can learn. An attentive parent won't have to mop often but we can't promise this girl will ever be completely 100% accident-free. We've found baby gates and tile floors to be very beneficial but treating her like a puppy and taking her out when she wakes, eats, drinks, after play - etc - will be key to her success. If you've got room in your heart and home for a special needs bundle of love, please fill out an application for us here: https://form.jotform.com/80595190554159
