**PLEASE READ BEBE'S BIO THOROUGHLY BEFORE INQUIRING. THIS IS A COURTESY POST** Meet beautiful Bebe! This gorgeous pup is an approximately 2 yr old, female Pitbull who is about 65lbs of pure love! Bebe is at the Santa Monica Shelter right now and we are posting her as a courtesy post to get her a home. We fell in love with this girl and sent one of our Pit savvy volunteers to meet her at the shelter with her own Pit to see how Bebe would do and what her temperament was like. We found out that she was surrendered to the shelter where she gave birth to 13 puppies, all of them have been adopted except Bebe. Per our volunteer, she says that Bebe is the sweetest dog she ever met! Due to living on the streets before she got to the shelter and then being in a shelter environment for 5 months, she needs work on her manners with other dogs and introductions with them. She will come face to face, sniffing like crazy and wanting to be all up in their business. She never showed any aggression or tried to bite once, she just needs to learn proper introductions and personal space with other dogs. We feel that she can be with other dogs as long as they are calm, sweet, chill, and submissive. She definitely cannot be with an alpha dog. She could be adopted as an 'only' dog if she had owners that were around most of the day, taught and kept up with her manners, and started properly socializing her. She would definitely make a great companion for someone, as she just loves to be loved! She does sit and stay on command which is a great thing! We would love to see her in a home with Pit savvy owners who knows the ins/outs of owning a large breed dog. We would also like her in a home with a safe and secure backyard where she can romp and play in. She has not been tested with children, but we feel that kids 15yrs old and older would be fine. Bebe has had a hard life in short 2 years, but we know there is the perfect family out there and we are determined to find it for her!
