About Holiday

Adoption Fee: $125
Border Collie / American Staffordshire Terrier
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

Holiday came to his Blackhat foster from the Ute Reservation after being hit by a car a few days before Christmas. He had several injuries, the worst being a broken leg that required surgery to insert four pins. After being on crate rest for over two months, Holiday's leg is now healed and his pins were removed at the end of February. He was a stellar patient during his recovery, but Holiday is now ready to run and play. He is about a year old, and based on is DNA results is mostly McNab with equal amounts of Am Staff, Bulldog, and d Dachshund! He's on the smaller side at a little under 35 pounds. He is up to date on shots and neutered. Personality wise, Holiday is a silly, happy, goofball. He loves people and still has lots of puppy type energy. He would do best in a home with a canine buddy or active person or family to make sure he gets enough exercise. He will need a few more weeks for his leg muscle tone to return to normal but the vet says he should have no lasting problems from his injuries. He does great in a crate, is housebroken, and sticks right by his person's side. His foster home doesn't have cats, but we think he would probably be fine with them. Like many of us, 2020 was not Holiday's year, but 2021 is looking pretty bright, especially if he finds his forever home. Holiday is being fostered in Cortez, Colorado.
