This sweet boy was rescued from a cruelty situation and is in need of a loving home forever home. Care giver reports: 'Benny gets along really well with the dogs and seems a little interested in the cats. But the cats don't allow him to really get close. Good with people. He really is super gentle and sweet.'%A0 Name: BENNY Age:%BD%A0 %BD%A0 Approximately 1 years old Breed: Hound Mix Sex:%BD%A0 57# Male (neutered per care taker) Location:%BD%A0 Raleigh County, WV Vet Information: UTD on vaccinations. HW negative. Diagnosed with progressive retinal atrophy. Owner report: Benny is currently living with a good Samaritan. She took him in after he ended up at the pound as part of a cruelty case. He was rescued so he would not face euthanasia. 'I am fostering him because he was part of a cruelty case in a nearby county. I would like to see him placed in a blind experienced home.' Benny is described to be an outdoor dog on a tie-out or chain. He is not house broken or leash trained. He is described as being shy and good with adults and female dogs. The good Samaritan reports 'I have a variety of other pets and foster pets. Benny has met two dogs in the home and did well. I have not done full intros yet.' Buddy's caretaker reports he is 'very pliant and sweet.' 'I think he has a very sad story. He was apparently tied in the woods with several other hounds and fed once a week. Once confiscated by the dog warden, he was in the pound (very primitive) for 4 weeks. Once released, I got him into foster as quickly as a I could. He has never probably known much human kindness, however he has been very sweet with me.' Can anyone help give Benny the loving home he deserves? **Owner Surrender Disclaimer: These are blind and visually impaired dogs who are living in homes, but their owners can no longer keep them.
