About Olaf

Much like his namesake, Olaf is a cute little curious guy at 1 year of age. Although he won't melt in the sun, he will melt your heart! Olaf here knows all too well that change can be scary, and it takes him a while to adjust. Once he's comfortable, his goofy personality shines through. Olaf loves running, playing with toys, and going on frequent walks. Olaf loves making friends with cats and dogs alike and keeps his calm even when a cat is less than thrilled about his friendly overtures. Olaf would be thrilled if his new home comes equipped with a canine playmate, as he will have a built-in friend while he adapts to the new environment and new people. Olaf will get in his crate, but it goes much smoother if he's had time to run around and burn off some energy first. While he's not a lapdog, he will occasionally snuggle if he's had a chance to play and get tuckered out first. Olaf isn't 100% potty trained yet, but he is learning quickly and takes redirection well. Olaf always wants to know what's happening-he'll even 'help' his foster feed her lizards. Olaf is an energetic little dude, and we recommend his furever family have a fenced backyard so he can around as he pleases. Additionally, his excitement and energy level can easily overload small children, so we recommend he goes to a home with children over 12 years old. Loud noises and people carrying maintenance equipment seem to startle him, so perhaps an apartment is not the right fit for his new home. Olaf had a difficult time adjusting to his foster home. He was quite cranky and snarly until he adjusted - we ask that his potential adopters be patient and understanding as he navigates even more change. Olaf is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $175 and he is a terrier mix.
