This post is going out with a prayer that one special person am an adopt or foster this sweet sugar ! She was pulled from being euthanized and put into a foster home . She is doing terrific however we can't keep het there cause she is going after the Foster's cats . Please somebody step forward for Ophelia . If nobody steps forward she will be taking back to the shelter and euthanized !! She is a great dog ! Gets along with other dogs too . Please text me , I can send you lots of videos you will fall in love with this white angel . Notes here from the shelter is timestamped for TUESDAY 3/16@5:30pm because she's been very afraid in her kennel. However, with extra time (and crouching down next to her kennel), she'll approach you and tuck her face next to your hand and give paw. Then she'll let you leash her. She walks easily through kennels and is timid with petting/handling outside (tries to make herself smaller). So give her time. She LOVES squeaky toys and cheese. Great to see her playful side and just be a dog. She's gentle taking treats and walks nicely on the leash. Ophelia met 2 dogs on 3/13 and had a ton of fun! She took a correction well from one male who wasn't into being climbed on, and was play bowing happiness with a female named Selena. It was a good day for her! Please text Kat 516 457-3678 if you can foster or adopt . Currently in NJ but can be transported to neighboring states !! Rides well in a car !!! What her foster had to say about this sweet sugar . Just update : From Tanya - ophelia now Stella - she knows it will take some time & has routine with cats (Took my suggestion and put them in a room and she doesn't try to hurt them they think she wants to play with them which terrorizes them!) : Im fine. The only reason why is because she is terrorizing the cats. I took your suggestion and they are up in the room. If it wasn't for the cats I would still foster her. She will be up for adoption. Missy asked me to do a write up for her adoption. Stella Stella is a 4 year old female American Staffordshire Terrier. She was rescued from a kill shelter within hours of euthanasia. She had puppies but sadly, it is unknown what happened to them. Stella is the most sweetest, loving, kind girl. She was kept in poor living conditions before coming to the kill shelter. Stella loves to play with toys. She will bring you her ball each time for you to throw it for her. Stella loves to get attention and will lay on you if you are laying on the couch for hugs and petting. She loves giving kisses. Caution: Stella will snore on you because she feels safe and comfortable. Foster mom has 2 other dogs that she loves to play with in the yard. She is gentle and will not take away toys from other animals. Stella is a very smart girl and will go to the door to let you know she has to go to the bathroom. Every morning she greets you with a wagging tail. She is excellent with walking on a leash. Other dogs do not get her attention when walking through the neighborhood. Foster mom thinks that she may have been abused in her past since she will cower if your voice is loud at redirecting her. Foster mom is working with her to understand the word, 'no', which she learning very quickly. Stella is the best dog. Her tail is always wagging. She goes into her crate at night to sleep. Stella does well with other dogs. However, she should be in a home without cats. She will chase cats but not necessarily to hurt them. Foster mom thinks she wants to play. But because of her size, no cats or small children. Please text Kat if you can foster or adopt 516 457-3678
