About Lil Bo

Meet Lil Bo Lil Bo is a tri-colored nine year old Chihuahua. Lil Bo was owner surrendered and for a little guy who'd been with his Mama for so long, he was lost at the high-kill shelter. We pulled Lil Bo just as soon as we could. He's a really cute little doggo with a big personality. He's sweet and sassy and despite his tiny 6.8 pounds, he makes sure that you don't miss him. Lil Bo is learning how to trust our staff and volunteers and every day he shows us his funny personality. He is a little shy at first, but warms up when shown patience and kindness. Lil Bo gets his confidence from other doggie companions and does not do well as an only pet, so we will place him in a home that has a little companion for him. He walks well on a leash and does well with the kitties in the office. He welcomes a lap once his trust is gained. He will make a great companion and he'll love to go with his people wherever they go. He's just precious and deserves a loving home for the rest of his life. All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area. We do permit out of state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship nor do we transport them to their new homes. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are primarily owner relinquished and also accepted from local Animal Control. The facility usually is operating at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open.
