About Molly

Molly is what you might call a 'just-so' dog. She has lived all of her 11 years with one human, who, sadly, is now unable to care for her. Basking in the serenity and calm routine of this household, the 16-lb. Rattie mix learned to appreciate having things just so. She loved having lots of walks, plenty of naps, and an always available lap upon which to snuggle. She acquired a fine set of impeccable manners: reliably going potty outdoors, walking beautifully on a leash, responding to basic commands, and never, ever engaging in naughty behaviors like chewing on furniture or digging through trash. Today Molly is being lovingly cared for in a more typical American household--you know, one with a mom, dad, teenagers, and a big ol' dog--and while she tries not to complain too much, it can be quite stressful for a just-so dog. On occasion, Molly feels pushed beyond her limits. For example, sometimes the dad and/or son have the audacity to barge into her spa (humans call this a living room) in the middle of the day, and she is forced to rush at them and give a snarl in order to teach these humans some boundaries! And once in a while when Molly is craving a little affection and her well-meaning foster mom obliges by giving her a scratching session, Molly has to cast a stink eye and quickly snap some air with her teeth to say, 'Enough already!! I just wanted a little pet, not a full body massage!' In truth, Molly longs to return to the good ol' days--life with one human in a home where quiet, order, and predictability prevail. She knows there's someone out there who would welcome sharing their lap with a canine connoisseur of tranquil harmony. If that describes you, then it would be pure folly to pass up Miss Molly.
