About Edwin

Edwin is an 11 month-12 month approximately 60- pound German Shepherd we just received from our good friends at Crossing Guardians. (https://crossingguardians.org/ ) They take on the hardest cases of dogs in Mexico where it truly is a life or death situation. We've never met a rescue quite like them. Their heart is pure gold. Case in point when no other Rescue would step forward to help Edwin who was found squeezed between two buildings where he curled up to die Crossing Guardians stepped in to save him. Someone had deliberately poured gasoline all over him. It took six months of intensive care by Crossing Guardians to get him to where he looks today. This handsome devil is now with Mutts In Need and he is a joy. He is so sweet and loving and he gets along great with everything from a 5 pound Chihuahua to a 90-pound shepherd. We would like to put him in a home with another fun dog to help with his confidence. He tends to follow the other dogs' leads on how to act with people. He's usually timid for the first couple minutes and as soon as he sees the other dogs running and jumping on the volunteers he comes and starts giving lil kisses. We were horrified when we saw the pictures and didn't know what to expect and we are so pleasantly surprised. Looking at him today you would never even think he went through such a horrific start to life. He loves to go for walks and to snuggle. He especially loves playing with the other dogs. We think Crossing Guardians and the wonderful foster they had for him in Mexico are wonderful and we can't thank them enough. Edwin has been thoroughly tested, is neutered, microchip, and fully vaccinated, and is now just ready for his forever loving home.
