About Ava

Ava is AVAILABLE! This gorgeous 1.5 year old German Shepherd (maybe mix?) is a big girl with lots of energy. All she wants in this world is to be loved and be beside her person. She has gotten better with house manners, but has a long way to go to be a calm house dog, and needs an owner willing to be patient and put in the time to make that happen. She is house and crate trained. She will tinkle sometimes when she gets excited. She does well in her crate except some whining when she knows she's missing out on something. She loves doing farm chores with us and hasn't bothered any chickens or goats. She stays close when off a leash. If left unsupervised in a fenced yard she will find her way either inside the house via opening the door or outside the fence to play with the neighbors or find her person. I haven't had her around kids, but I bet she'd love older children and accidentally knock small children over. She gets along great with other dogs, but is very high energy and playful which may annoy older dogs. I don't know how she'd do with cats, but my guess would be fine since she's never shown interest in chasing the chickens. She is spayed, Vaccinated, Microchipped. Heartworm tested Negative, and on monthly preventive for Heartworms, Fleas, and ticks. Her adoption fee is $200. She's located in Cleveland, TN but we travel to adopters.
