When Xander first came in as a stray he was terrified and spent his time trembling in his kennel, but it wasn't too long before he started feeling comfortable, coming out of his shell and making friends. Xander has been in playgroup and has done well with other dogs, but he seems to prefer the company of female dogs over male dogs. Xander loves playing, running, and being with his people, and our volunteers have said that he likes to 'talk' while he's playing to let you know what a good time he's having. Recently, Xander went for a hike with a volunteer, and she said that he was a very good boy! He was very easy to manage on leash, even with lots of activity on the trails. He seemed happy to see other dogs, and wanted to be co-pilot for the car ride to the trailhead before settling in the backseat and taking a nap. He happily hiked for 1.5 hours, and was tuckered out afterwards�'�|so if you're looking to take an adventure and then relax on the couch, Xander may be your boy!
