About Vincent

Vincent is a 2-year old, (approximately) 30 lbs brindle-coated Plotthound mix. He is super sweet and he loves everyone! So .. his story is that he (and 3 other dogs that we also rescued) belonged to a really mean guy who went to jail .. and they were abandoned & left to fend for themselves!! The neighbors told us he was a really mean man who treated them very badly. He made them live outside, hit them and barely fed them! They were always spotted on the road scrounging for any scraps of food to survive! AND he beat up Vincent so badly one time he broke his leg!!! The vet said it is an old break and to just leave it alone. Despite his past, Vincent is such a sweet boy who simply longs for a family to love. His foster mom says, 'Vincent is such a sweet dog. He is so easy, gets along great with other dogs, good with my boys and really anyone he meets. He's super gentle, a little skittish at first but such a love. His old leg injury doesn't hold him back one bit! He can do stairs fairly well and outrun my dog Chevy. He's fast! He loves to play outside or just sit on the grass enjoying the sunshine. So a home with an easily accessible fully fenced garden would be ideal for him. We are working on basic commands and teaching him not to jump up on us. He'll sit for a biscuit now and he's getting better at responding to us calling him over. Shows no signs of aggression whatsoever. He's really a love!' The adoption fee is $500. We require a fully fenced yard. We do not adopt to homes with an electric or invisible fence because it is not as safe for the dog.
