Casper the Friendly Ghost had trouble being seen, but Casper the Rescue Dog has troubling hearing! Casper is not even 18 months old, and this is already his third stint at the shelter! For an impaired dog, he really needs some stability in his life! Casper's notes have been all over the place. He was found on the streets in October by a good Sam breaking up a dog fight. He was found again in January with wounds on his back legs, so he could hardly stand! The shelter determined that he was at least partially deaf, but walked well on leash. Finally he was adopted by a couple in February, but returned after just 5 days because his owner touched his back when he wasn't looking, and since he was startled he bit her hand. Deaf dogs are very sensitive and don't always know we are behind them! He needs a home with a set routine and a calm, quiet lifestyle so he can finally relax. No little kids at this time, because he doesn't like quick movements. He has played with other dogs at the shelter and with a past owner, but he does have a hyper and rowdy playstyle. Don't forget he's still a puppy! Please fill out an application to talk to a volunteer to review all of his past note
