About Magnolia

Adoption Fee: $150
American Curl
Age: Senior
Sex: Female

My sweet cat Magnolia is looking for her forever home! Magnolia is a sweet, cuddly, chatty, and cute 12 year old American Curl. In addition to the curled ears typical of her breed, she has unique brown tabby markings and extra thumbs! She came to me in September 2020 when a relative who adopted her in 2017 was no longer able to care for her. Although she prefers the indoors - curling up on a cozy blanket, or hopping onto a lap for cuddles - Magnolia has lived mostly outdoors at my house since I have an indoor cat that does not get along with other cats. Magnolia also sometimes pees on carpets or rugs. However, she's been to the vet and thoroughly checked out; blood testing and urinalysis have not shown any potential medical issue behind the peeing. I think it is stress-related. She has the beginnings of cataracts and she has gingivitis that may develop into more severe dental disease that may need to be taken care of down the road. I give her flea treatments once a month, and she's been dewormed recently too. She's been spayed and microchipped and is up to date on her vaccines. She is enrolled in a free-vaccines-for-life program at our vet, Eastside Animal Hospital, here in Columbia, TN, where you can continue to take her if you live in the area. She's negative for FIV and feline leukemia. I love Magnolia so much and want to find her a new home where she can receive all the love and care she deserves! She would be ideal for someone who has had experience owning cats in the past but who doesn't have any other pets right now, as she has been bullied by other cats and terrorized by dogs. I think that if she is in a home where she feels secure in her own territory, she will use a litter box full-time instead of soiling rugs on occasion. Someone who's committed to loving on Magnolia and meeting all her needs for the rest of her years is ideal. Anyone interested should be prepared to provide vet references, answer some questions about their history, and pay a rehoming fee of $150 to ensure that they are serious about Magnolia. She will come with a litter box + scooper, food bowl, collars, tags, and cloth cat house. Some cat litter / food will be included as well.
