About Ruger

We've had ruger for 8 years now we acquired him when he was around 1 is what we were told so he should be around 9 he's great around people and kids he is a well behaved dog who knows sit commands lay and 'bad dog' when he's doing something he's not supposed to he immediately stops. He barks when he's supposed to alert you of people approaching your home. He's a inside dog who's potty trained to poop and pee in designated areas in the back yard as long as he's given access via doggy door and told where to go. He good at dog parks when roaming off collar but once on collar he becomes your protector and will not let any dog around you nor will he be friendly with any other dog. He is very territorial but if introduced correctly to another dog he will be friendly as long as the order dog is around the same age and bigger than him or can hold his own (alpha) everyone that meets him knows he's a amazing blue nose pit well behaved and listens to his master. Unfortunately we can no longer give him the love and house/ backyard he needs to continue living the best life he deserves so we need to find a family that can provide that for him. We can only keep him until the end of March and then we have no option but to take him to the animal shelter since we are moving from a house to a apartment that doesn't allow pets. Please if you're looking for a great companion who loves to take walks and roam freely in the back yard and play tug of war with his rope toy this is the mutt for you! He just needs more than we can currently offer. He also knows not to climb on the couches he has his own dog bed and he knows not to go in the bedrooms he understands his limitations where he can go and where he's not allowed to go.
