About Charlie

My name is Charlie. I was living a pretty good life on the mean streets of Ontario. But awhile back, I started feeling poorly, my head hurt and my ear itched something fierce. I was slowing down and finding food and fending off other cats was becoming harder. I have some serious scratches on my nose to prove it. A nice human began feeding me in her yard and things were looking better until one day my ear just hurt badly and was bleeding worse than my average junkyard scrap. I am not sure how it all happened but I have a very confusing and traumatic week. First, the human tricked me with food and when I was just enjoying the first bites, she grabbed me and put me in a small plastic box. A different human, I had never seen before took me for a ride in a car. Now, all my life I have avoided cars so to be riding in one caused some panic. I was then dropped off at another humans house and put in a different box. This one has two stories, a litter area, and water all the time. It was nice to be warm at night when I was feeling poorly and food seemed to come to me. There is even something called a ball toy but I am too cool for that. Two days later, back in the small box and back in the car I was, off to a place they called the vet. I was poked and prodded, given shots and took a nap but when I woke up I was missing my man parts. They cleaned up my ear but couldnt make it better because there was mass growing in it was very deep in my ear. A couple of days later, I was back in the car to another vet who spent too much time digging around in my ear. They took a biopsy and my foster mom is waiting to hear results. She is taking care of me, feeding and meds and petting, even though I dont feel well and just want to be left alone. She talks about more vet visits and surgery or maybe hospice. She says I deserve to be warm, feed and loved for as long as possible and that there is the perfect forever home for me.
