About Arlo

Adoption Fee: $50
German Shepherd
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Arlo has been in our family since he was a puppy. He has mostly been outside due to our last move where we couldn't have him with us and he stayed at my grandparents in the yard. He became very aggressive and anxious. We recently got a tiny apartment where I have him as my ESA. He has always brought me comfort and is very sweet and loving. We have never had issues with him as he knows he's our family, only fearful of other dogs coming around. We have an older dog who he becomes very dominant over. Since we have moved he has become very possessive and protective over me since I was recently pregnant. He started growling at both of my girls since we moved in and we have never heard him growl. My youngest who is 2 started to force herself on him and now arlo is also protective of my youngest and let's her jump and play on him and he kisses her. He started growling at my 4 year old even more as I became more pregnant. I had my son a week ago and it has worsened. I hate how he started getting toward my daughter. We were about to start training again with our old trainer, but just last night he attacked our our her dog extremely bad and he was growling before. Last thing we want is for him to attack our daughter.. we are at a loss. We have tried for years to do what is best for him and thought him being in the home with us for the first time and walking more and everything would be so much better for him, but this can't happen. We can't risk it... we hope more than anything someone could be willing to take him in with a big yard and patience to train him because he's really the greatest dog.. he's so loyal and has so much potential to be a great family dog, I believe so.. I have videos of him playing with my girls and how gentle he can be. This was the best option we could think of... taking him to a shelter honestly would kill me. Putting him down just isn't an option for me :/ I just want him to have a chance...
