He is a really sweet guy who needs an understanding home that will respect his few triggers. He needs people that understand he needs time to warm up and be comfortable in new environments and this may take a few weeks. He cannot be pushed too fast as if he is uncomfortable, he will act out. Once he's comfortable and trusts his people, he is such a sweet soul. Carl is a happy handsome sun bather who enjoys time laying out in his yard. Carl is fearful of loud noises and is not a huge fan of being picked up or pet while he is getting his beauty rest. Carl enjoys lots of attention, and he REALLY loves a good butt scratching session! He almost acts like a cat when you are petting him and rubs against you for more lovin's. He can be food possessive with other dogs and would have to be fed separately in his own kennel at dinner time. He is great on a leash and enjoys long walks and even hiking!
