About Nala

This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $200 if picked up in TN, $250 plus transport fee for out of state adoptions. Nala is looking for a home where she can share with her family all her enthusiasm for life! This 15-month-old Australian Cattle Dog weighs 44 lbs. She is seeking a Cattle Dog-experienced, active family to provide her with lots of exercise so she can shine her brightest. Nala loves her people and wants to be close to them as possible. She enjoys fetch, and hopes her new family has a fenced yard so they can play this game with her often. Nala also likes going for long walks and hiking in the woods. She has excellent focus and is treat motivated so she learns quickly. She has mastered the commands come, sit, down, shake, off and stay for short periods. Nala is crate and house trained and quickly learned to use a dog door in her foster's home. She enjoys taking treats with her foster's dogs and patiently waits her turn and takes treats gently. Nala loves attention so much that we think she would do best in a home where she's the only dog since she's so focused on her person. She is a little uncomfortable meeting new people but is curious and will let them pet her after a few minutes and several barks. She warms up to women quicker but she has learned to adore her foster dad. Nala needs a slow intro to new people, so a patient adult family without many visitors would be ideal for her.
