This animal is available to licensed rescue groups only. Please do not enquire unless with a licensed rescue group. CHESTER WILL ONLY BE RELEASED TO A RESCUE ORGANIZATION. HE IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR PUBLIC ADOPTION. CHESTER #A509115 (Moreno Valley, CA) Neutered Male, black and white Siberian Husky. The shelter thinks I am about 3 years old. I have been at the shelter since Feb 20, 2021 and I may be available for adoption on Feb 27, 2021 at 11:55AM. BEHAVIOR NOTES: 03/27/21 09:56 took Chester out to play yard for pictures and video. He did well with handler. Easy to leash and walk although did try to pull a little. Handler was able to keep him moving forward. Show'd almost no interest in other dogs. Once in the yard, he did the usual sniffing around and occasionaly came over for attention from handler and myself. Not interested in toys but he did like the treats and would sit nicely for them. Spent most of the time sniffing the yard. He did well with us at this time. ml 03/18/21 10:26 To ensure this dog can safely be place in a home, I think its best he goes to a rescue for behavior assessment and training. Due to history of aggressive behavior & his unpredictability dog should only be available to rescue. JS 03/02/21 08:23 donor paying for Neuter & rabies to help w/adoption or rescue. Sent him to the vet & discovered he was already neutered. Rabies given & paid for. ml 02/25/21 13:29 Dog approaches front of kennel. When I offer my hand he licks it. I have not attempted to take out of kennel w/ leash yet due to previous behavior notes. JS 02/23/21 13:36 I moved to GP from healthy intake using a control stick because of previous behavior notes. Dog did not show any signs of aggression. ML & I were able to weigh & vaccinate while on control stick. JS 02/20/21 15:31 Went to recheck dog for a picture. He seemed calm & offered a tail wag when I began talking to him. He did not growl or lunge this time. Unsure if dog's behavior was due to being protective of the rp or other, but his behavior seemed improved from initial impound. ddp 02/20/21 11:58 Rp brought dog out on leash & dog appeared friendly, but once I went to place leash on dog, dog growled, lunged & tried to bite. I backed away & dog continued to growl and lunge toward me. Rp was able to walk dog to my truck & place dog in kennel, but dog remained aggressive toward me. At shelter jlj was able to walk dog on a control stick to kennel w/out issue. Use caution. Rp stated he had the dog only two days, but he acted very protective of him & was not safe for me to handle. ddp
