I am a beagle/hound mix weighing in at just under 50 lbs. I am about 1 1/2 years old, neutered and up to date on my vaccinations. I am also housetrained. Here's what my foster mom says about me: George is a happy, playful boy and yes...he is very curious! He gets along very well with my 2 senior dogs - but he'd prefer a playmate with a little more energy. George came to me completely shut down and terrified of everything. He has been with me for around 4 months and he is a completely different dog from when he arrived. He's gone from cowering on my front porch too scared to come inside, to an affectionate goofball who can't get enough belly rubs. At first he trembled when I looked at him or touched him and now he piles on the couch with me and the other pups after a game of fetch. George loves his toys, lines up in the kitchen for treats, and has just really started to come out of his shell. That said, he is still very shy and will need time and patience when he first goes to live in his forever home. Since he did not have a lot of human interaction at the beginning of his life, he needs at least one other dog to help him feel safe, gain confidence and learn the ropes. George will also need a person who is willing to work with him, while also letting him acclimate at his pace. He is extremely play and food motivated and once he trusts you - he'll be your best friend! George can be a little rambunctious, so he's not quite ready to play with small children.
