Name: Buddy Age:%A0 %A0 Approximately 5 years old Breed: Lab/Shephard Mix Sex:%A0 60# Male (neutered) Location:%A0 Butler County, Pa Vet Information: UTD on vaccinations. HW negative. Buddy has been blind since birth. Owner report: Over the past 6-8 months, Buddy has become stressed and insecure in he environment he has been part of for years. His behavior towards the other dogs in his home has changed and he has been aggressive towards the new puppy. When the owner placed the Buddy at her father's house, Buddy did great by himself. 'We recently took him (Buddy) to my dad's home where he is the only dog and it is night and day with him - he is happy again, eating, playful and just all around a much improved dog. For whatever reason, this is what he needs but unfortunately my dad cannot keep him. After much discussion, my family and I have decided the best thing for him - given his change in behavior - is to rehome him. He needs the attention and love of one family and being the only dog. Our current situation in our home is not conducive to him and we want what is best for him and what he deserves.' Buddy is described to be an indoor dog with the run of the house. He is house broken and leash trained. Buddy know the following commands 'Sit, stay, treat, lay down, give kisses, off.' Buddy is described as nervous, but good with adults and teenagers. According to Buddy's owner 'I don't have young kids so I can't speak to that.%A0 He has always done well with people in general.' Buddy has snapped at the puppy but never at people. Buddy's owner reports 'Just know we did not come to this decision lightly. We want is best for him and we want him to have a positive, less stressful life that he can enjoy. We love him dearly and want him to find the home that will love him and spoil him as we have.' Does anyone have room for Buddy? **Owner Surrender Disclaimer: These are blind and visually impaired dogs who are living in homes, but their owners can no longer keep them.
