About Teddy Bridgewater

Teddy Bridgewater is a fun and active dog looking for a family to run and play with! He is a 1 year old German Shepherd/Cattle Dog mix who weighs around 48 pounds and is fully grown. Like his namesake, he is a sporty guy who loves to play fetch! He will need a yard with an at least 6 foot tall fence where he can race around to get his energy out. Once he's done playing, he's happy to lay down with his people for some sunbathing. Teddy is a big fan of going on walks, but needs some work on his leash manners. He is a very smart boy who is eager to learn. He would love to find a family who will keep working with and socializing him to help him feel more comfortable around new people and places. He can be shy at first, so he will need to meet every member of the family before going home. Teddy has never lived with children, and we recommend only dog savvy teens and adults for him. He has lived with dogs of all sizes, but will need to meet any other dogs in the home prior to adoption. Teddy is housebroken and knows how to use a doggy door, but may need some reminders as he adjusts to a new home. Teddy is neutered, vet checked, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. His adoption fee of $80 includes a complimentary vet visit. To potentially adopt him, please come to our shelter location at 1102 W. Hatcher Rd. Phoenix, AZ 85021 anytime during business hours. We are open Tuesday-Sunday from 11AM-6PM. --COVID update: To adhere to CDC guidelines, we are open for adoptions only at a max capacity of 10 people in the building at a time.
