About Rue

Bull Terrier / Pit Bull
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

Due to no fault of her own, sweet baby Rue is having to find a new home. We adopted her from Road Dogg January 4th of 2020 and she instantly stole our hearts. It breaks my heart to say goodbye to my sweet girl since we have been through so much in her little lifetime, but unfortunately, I separated with my boyfriend whom I was living with and my work schedule has her in a kennel 13 hours a day which is entirely unfair to her. When Rue (formerly known as Hope) came into our house, she had a bad case of rickets and struggled to walk, let alone jump or climb onto any furniture. We worked with her day in and day out to build her muscle mass and every jump, run or game of tug of war felt like a huge victory for us. Today, you would never know she used to struggle. She loves her kitty sisters and brother, so much in fact that I think she's started to think she's one of them. Bath time is a fan favorite for Rue (She may even try to jump in the shower with you if you're not paying attention) She loves to sunbathe and run around her back yard chasing all the lizards and bugs she can find. She is great with kids with proper introductions, but would need to be the only dog in the house. She is housebroken but does better being in a kennel when no one is home to supervise her chewing activities. She loves chewing bones (especially ones filled with peanut butter) and playing tug of war. Rue would make the perfect pet for someone who loves going on walks/ runs but can appreciate a lazy Sunday in bed as well.
