CURRENTLY OUT TO FOSTER. PLEASE MAKE ARRANGEMENTS PRIOR TO COMING TO VISIT. We had three very large puppies come into the shelter with no idea what it was to be loved by a human. So sad to watch these beautiful kids not understand a nice belly scratch or a rub behind the ears. We are working with them. The person who surrendered them said that dad was a Saint Bernard - we aren't convinced of that - but no idea what mommy was so that doesn't help us very much. All three look very different. They are about 6 months old - date of birth we were told is 9/2/20. They are huge babies - all over 50 lbs. each. They will require a ton of patience by their adopters. If you put in the time they will be amazing and giant love bugs. If you don't have the time or patience for these guys please don't waste your time or ours by applying for them. THEY WILL NOT BE ADOPTED FOR OUTSIDE DOGS so only apply if you want a giant cuddle partner and are serious about being able to put in the time that will be required. They are not fully housebroken but we are working on it. They have no leash experience whatsoever. They are being introduced to harnesses and hopefully will make progress. The first of these kids is Margo. She is the most outgoing of the three but still has a long ways to go. That includes spay/neuter, current shots, worming, heartworm check (if appropriate), current preventatives such as flea/tick and heartguard and micro-chip.
