About Korben Dallas

Korben Dallas is an Aussie with a documented bite history. He is a terrific dog, very sweet and confident and generally at ease in the world 90% of the time, but for the other 10%, he is highly excitable and reactive and not trustworthy with guests, kids, other dogs and strangers. He plays with and adores his other Aussie housemate, but I do not know how he would be with another household dog. I have been advised by vets, and by rescue professionals that his reactivity cannot be trained away and that he should be euthanized. If you are not an experienced rehabilitation trainer, you have no business adopting this dog. He may be okay with you if you are experienced with positive reinforcement training and if you think you can introduce Korben to a new household with no children, but there are no guarantees. I tried to place Korben with a rescue organization for retraining - as opposed to directly with a new home, but after months of corresponding with this organization, they simply disappeared and have become unresponsive. I have reached out to many other Rescue organizations but none of them will accept this dog because of his reactivity. So please do not assume that you know more than they do. Please experienced rehabilitation trainers only! I will donate the Rescue fee to W-Underdogs, my daughter's rescue organization in Georgia.
