About Oakley

He would love a quiet home with a family who appreciates Shepherds. We do know that Oakley needs a home with no cats and likely no other dogs. Due to Oakley's age and size, we would recommend older children in the home 12+. He came from a neglectful situation and was very underweight initially. Despite this, he is as sweet as can be. Oakley does need some patience and understanding in home, he's really bad about begging for food. We don't blame him, he was so emaciated once upon a time. Oakley finally gained enough weight to be safely vetted recently and has a mostly clean bill of health. He did test positive for a tick borne illness and is taking a course of antibiotics for this. Otherwise, Oakley sometimes seems to be a bit sore, but the hard kennel floor is no place for a handsome boy like this! We want Oakley to have all the luxuries every dog deserves. Oakley seems to be house trained and walks fairly well on leash. Oakley is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped.
