About JoJo

JoJo is a bouncing delight! He's approximately 1 year old and we believe he's a Shih Tzu / Maltipoo mix. He's a non-shedder so he'll need regular grooming to stay adorable and comfortable. JoJo came to us a very matted terrible mess after living most of his first year of life in a crate without attention and without grooming. He is, of course, looking for a better future. This little fella is a very smart boy who is curious about learning. Within just a few days in his foster home, he learned to sit on command. He does pretty well with his potty duties but having been unaltered and living in a crate, he had never been taught right from wrong before. His foster family has been working on this as well. With his fresh neuter, he should be able to master his new rule set pretty easily with a dedicated schedule. JoJo is such a sweet and fun boy. He LOVES toys and loves people, and seems to like other dogs. He does not like to be alone and suffers from separation anxiety (also stemming from his past life). He truly needs someone who works from home, or a stay-at-home mom where he'll have kids to play with, and another dog in the home would be helpful (a small and young energetic dog who is compatible with him would be best). Kids should be at least 10 years old and of a responsible, kind, and respectful nature. While JoJo will snuggle with you on the couch for a movie, he is no couch potato and needs regular playtime and activity. He *MUST* have a yard with grass as he's the type to run around and do zoomies. He's just thrilled about life and the ability to move around and explore. He is not a candidate for apartment or condo living. JoJo enjoys daily walks and he does well on a leash. He will give you kisses all day long if you want him to, and he prefers to sleep in bed with his people. JoJo is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. We can set up a meet & greet upon approved application -- please email to request one. He will go home with collar and ID tag, harness and leash, and a whole lot of happy love!
