Koa is a 5-month-old, male, Jack Russell Terrier/Chihuahua mix. This little dude was surrendered to a shelter as a young boy with an odd condition happening with his skin. In fact, you may remember us posting about it. Koa had cysts forming all over his body. They would eventually pop and the skin would die and fall off. While he's recovered 100%, his body bears the scars of the battle he once fought. Due to his medical condition early on in life, Koa couldn't be socialized with lots of new people. So, sometimes he's a little scared when he meets new people. Koa LOVES playing with his foster dog siblings and he's even good with the feline friends in his home. He's working on his house training but will need a patient home while he continues to learn. His ideal family will be home often and enjoy snuggles. We also feel he's best suited with another dog friend in the home to help him trust. Koa is located in CO Spgs. His adoption fee is $400. REQUIREMENTS: 1. Confident, playful, resident dog 2. Patient humans willing to train and socialize. You can apply for Koa at https://milehighcanine.org/forms-and-applications/mhcr-adoption-application/.
