About Prince

EXTREMELY URGENT: Video also included. This handsome, long resident, Prince needs to be out by 5PM on Thursday, March 4th or he will be euthanized. 6 years old. Weighs 67 lbs. Neutered. He entered OC Animal Care in November 2019! That's a long time! He is no longer available for public adoption due to deteriorating behavior. Do you blame him?? He needs a foster home without young kids, no dogs, no cats (since not tested/no history known history with cats), and with someone who is very dog saavy/ experienced. He's smart; he knows a lot of tricks as shown in the video. SHELTER NOTES: 'Prince came in as an owner surrender. His owner was not able to care for him any longer. He has resided with us since 2019 and has exhibited many behaviors both good and concerning while at the shelter. He was placed twice in the past and both times he was returned for negative behaviors towards family members. In shelter he has had an altercation with another dog and at times he is cautious with people. Recently he caused a minor bite to a volunteer. He is in need of rescue placement now as his behavior in and out of shelter has made him not a safe public adoption candidate and we feel his condition is deteriorating due to shelter stress from living in the shelter environment for so long. We do not have the resources to improve his behavior while staying at the shelter. He will need to be further evaluated and will need a rescue to provide him any necessary training and place him selectively with an owner that can manage his behavior.'
